Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 22! We are chartered by Prince of Peace Episcopal Church.  We have been serving Woodland Hills and surrounding communities for over 20 years.

The aim of the Scouting program is to develop youth with character, citizenship and personal fitness.  Our Troop accomplishes this through fun activities like hiking, camping and community service projects. We have fun...with a purpose!  During our tenure we have helped over 60 boys become Eagle Scouts!

Please e-mail us at info@BSAtroop22.com to arrange to visit one of our meetings.  There's always room for one more at Troop 22!

Big Thanks to everyone who has sent me recipes, even betraying family secrets.  We need more!  How about your favorite camping meal?  Or the yummy dish you brought to Court of Honor?

Please email me the recipe or give me something legible I can transcribe.  Thank you!

Each One, Reach One - The Gift of Scouting

Posted by qnguyen on Jan 12 2014 - 3:54pm

A small kindness can change the course of a young man's life

At the Court of Honor, we got to the see story of 96-year-old Russell Meals, who joined Scouting during the Depression, thanks to the kindness of others.  He became an Eagle and lead Scout packs/troops in 3 states.  Please take a few minutes to see Russell's inspiring video

For Russell and many Scouts, one of the most formative memories is Scout Summer Camp.  Yet, half the boys in Las Colinas District did not get to go.  Let's change that.  $15 can help a fellow scout go to camp.  Whether you can donate more or less, we hope each Scout in Troop 22 will help another boy by giving a gift of scouting.  Thank you!

Eagle Project Thanks!

To all of those who helped me on my Eagle Project at Calabasas High School, thank you for your time and commitment for helping me achieve my life goal of being an Eagle Scout.  The work that was completed turned out really well and reflects the combined effort of all those who helped.
