    • The Troop has approximately $20,000.00 in the Troop checking account.
    • Most of this money will be used to pay for Philmont and Emerald Bay.
    • This month the Troop spent $1,000.00 on Eagle Scout gifts and $470.00 on the Lake Piru outing.
    • By the end of this fiscal year, we should have between $2,800-$3,200 to begin the new fiscal year.
    • Mike said it costs the Troop about $5,000 to operate each year.
    • Strong fundraising efforts will have to be made this year to increase our funds.
  • Popcorn Fundraiser
    • Michal and Lisa attended the Popcorn meeting this month.
    • They will report on this at the next Parent Committee Meeting.
  • Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
    • The Pancake breakfast has been scheduled for Sunday, October 28, 2007.  Karen DeJesse will chair this event.

Membership

  • Judy will write a small advertising paragraph to go out in our Troop e-mail.  Families are asked to forward this to their school newsletters or e-mails to publicize our Troop in an effort to gain enrollment.

Advancement

  • Creation of Eagle COH Policy Sub-Committee

    • A sub-committee will be created to evaluate and create policy regarding Eagle Courts of Honor.

    • It is recommended that beginning mid-2008 the Troop schedule quarterly Eagle COHs in hopes of keeping our calendar under control, help keep costs down and ease the scheduling demand on our busiest leaders.

    • Anyone interested in participating in this committee is welcome and should contact Sonia as soon as possible.

    • So far, Jeff, Sonia, Barry and Rayna have offered to serve on this committee.  We would like some past Eagle Scouts to serve on this committee to share their experiences.

Next meeting is scheduled on June 28, 2007.
