Camporee -- April 2006
Reviewed the Scoring Procedure
Our event is all worked out
Our event: Rescue Rope 2
Most events are staffed, small chance we may be asked to run a 2nd event
Troop has almost completely shifted over. Older Scouts are almost all gone, Beaver patrol is full and ready to learn new skills
Plan to have a Beaver patrol outing, perhaps June to work on Scout skills
Kenny S. and Josh S. will have their Eagle Board of Reviews soon
Adam B. will have his shortly thereafter
Kenny and Andy have tentatively set date of June 11th for their combined Eagle Court of Honor
High Adventure
Scoutmaster has no feedback on progress
There is a discrepancy in amount shown on Joe's website and amount billed by Finance
Who is making arrangements for airfare etc.?
We need more communication. Peg will follow up.
Financial reports were presented and reviewed
Camp Whitsett payment soon
Collections table at the troop meetings has been successful
Car Wash Fundraiser - Judy S. Coordinator
Judy brought rough draft of pledge sheet
Judy will make a flyer for the Scouts Explaining the Entire process
Date is Saturday, May 6th
Scouts will collect sponsor pledges and donations from their neighbors, friends, family, and possibly from parent's workplace.
Pledges can be any amount per car washed (total) so for instance they can pledge 10 cents per car. We will count up the total cars washed by our entire crew and the donor will owe us that number times ten cents. Alternatively they may feel more comfortable making a flat fee donation which is also acceptable.
A parent volunteer will collect pledge sheets and money at the event and tally up the pledges based on the number of cars washed. The tallied pledge sheets will be returned to each Scout at Monday's meeting to collect the money.
We will need fully uniformed Scouts on street corners to twirl signs
All Scouts who collect pledges must work the car wash
If a Scout does not work the car wash all money collected by him will be deposited into the Troop General Fund
For Scouts that work the car wash all money collected by him will be allocated to his own Scout Account
A donations/tips jar will be placed at the Car Wash
All money collected from the tips jar will be allocated to the Troop General Fund
We don't want to sell anything else at the car wash because it will detract from the money collected in the tips jar
Pancake Breakfast
This weekend is extremely busy! Swim check, Car Wash, Pancake Breakfast and then Eagle Court of Honor!
Peggy and Sonia agreed to head up this event
We really already have a lot of the things we need to run this
We will need to collect donations from local markets
It is an important event for Troop relations with Prince of Peace Church
Worlds Finest Chocolate -- Jill H. Coordinator
Jill brought the brochure for the fundraiser
There are two types of bars to sell and a funny scratch off thing
We chose to sell the $1 candy bars
The troop pays up front for the cases
We decided to run this in June and July
100% of the money goes to Scout Accounts
We wanted something that was easy to sell so that ALL our Scouts can earn their way to camp.
Jill will be prepared to advertise this fundraiser at the May Court of Honor

Summer Camp - Bob C is Outing Leader
Meeting upcoming in April, Bob will attend
We need to start assembling our team so that all of the work gets done
Troopmaster -- acting up
Lisa and Peg have both reported problems
Bob is looking into it
We need to look into the read/write access thing -- don't want access to default to write if you just want to look something up. Write access blocks others from accessing it. We want to minimize the time we have db blocked.

Sandra will coordinate, Janice can probably lead this training for us
This is for leaders with NO training yet, it is the very fundamentals
Leaders that have been Cub Scout trained do not need to take this training again
Merit Badge Counselor Orientation Training -- May 22 during troop meeting
Sandra and Ernest can work together to make this happen
Janice has lead this training in the past for us, we will ask her again
We use this training as the time when we collect our annual applications for all of our Merit Badge Counselors
All Merit Badge Counselors need to reapply each year
Peggy and Rayna will continue the documentation of Troop jobs
