Troop Parent Committee Meeting Minutes

July 28th, 2005

7:30 - 9:00 pm, Starbucks at Fallbrook/Victory

Attendance:

Michael, Sonia, Barry, Rayna, Lisa, Judy, Sandra, Teri and Janice

SM Report

• Northern Tier was a success

• Emerald Bay is in preparation

• Court of Honor planning, outing?

• Barn electrical wiring ongoing

  • Installed camp equipment rack

  • soon to label all items and store

• As part of annual planning this year, will get ASM commitments for outings ASAP

• Would like to earn the BSA Ready & Prepared Award

  • We are doing much of the requirements already

  • Will need to do

    • Drivers Pledge

    • Premises Check

    • Traffic Safety Merit Badge

• Scouts want to do WLACC Patrol Challenge in October

  • Really fun outing

  • Oct 21-23

  • Requires at least 2 adults per patrol

  • Will require a lot of committee support

Finance Subcommittee Report

• Financial reports were presented and reviewed

Outings Subcommittee Report

• Sonia doing transportation for Emerald Bay

• Needs binder for transportation coordinator

• Will collect all drivers information

• Driver Form is on website

Advancement Subcommittee Report

• Still working on Sept Court of Honor plans

Membership/Communications Subcommittee Report

• Still working on binders...

Uniform/Training Subcommittee Report

• Las Colinas District Carnival of Training - Sept 10th

Other Business/Follow Up

• Vote on Annual Calendar at next month's parent committee meeting at Peggy's house.
