Troop Parent Committee Meeting Minutes

April, 28th, 2005

7:30 - 9:00 pm, Starbucks at Fallbrook/Victory

Attendance:

Peg, Barry, Jerry, Rayna, Lisa, Judy

Finance Subcommittee Report

• Need campership information asap

• June 14 owe balance of summer camp fee

• Finally received $300 rebate from Home Depot for Barn purchase

  • Spent 1/2 on electrical for barn

  • Other 1/2 is for racks and shelves for equipment

• Pancake Breakfast - Greg Sheaks, its coming together

Outings Subcommittee Report

• Summer Camp

  • right now 31-32 Scouts

  • need campership and scout account info now

• May Outing: bike trip

  • Made reservations for 30 at Camp

  • Plan A - Rent truck for all bikes/all equipment, Scouts take train from Chatsworth

  • Plan B - Rent Truck like above but parents transport the Scouts

  • Plan C - Don't rent a truck, recruit drivers for bikes, equipment and Scouts

  • We voted to pursue the rent a truck option

  • We need adults to commit to go on this trip

• June Swim check and BBQ

  • Working on getting Gateway Church as location

Advancement Subcommittee Report

• New Scouts: Zach and Michael

• May Court of Honor
  • Theme: Spokes of a wheel
  • Add OA presentation by OA Rep to agenda
  • Add blurb about upcoming Merit Badge training to agenda

Membership/Communications Subcommittee Report

• Hoping to separate our website into two parts.  One for photos and one for information.

• Still will be heavily interlinked but makes uploading and downloading faster since we rarely update pictures and we frequently update the calendar and news pages etc.

Troop Advisors/Training Subcommittee Report

• Still gathering training information from ASMs
