JLT – all leaders in attendance except Dragons
which subsequently had a last minute change in leadership.
Kids were happy with the Court of Honor
Attendance has been strong at troop meetings
(35-40 kids)
Focus was on promoting popcorn
Separate session for Troops was good
alternative places to camp
where various troops went for summer camp
Approved change in yearly fees to $75 per scout
and $10 per adult to help meet troop expenses
Popcorn:
Kris reported via Peggy that all is going well and easier than last year
Additional Fundraiser: Dragon patrol plus
friends will make dog biscuits for sale during the blessing of the animals at
the church to make some extra money while we also sell popcorn.
We need to update the phone tree and get it
functioning again.
We need adventure passes
Debrief on Court of Honor
Scouts thought the best ever
Loved the science tables
Having the JLT the morning of, worked well
Liked the Sage Ranch location plus it was close
and it was free; we may want to keep this instead of Camp Josepho
Janna did a lot and a good job
Probably needed more adult help during set-up to
help relieve the pressure as the event drew nearer
Patrick suggested decoupling the exhibit and the
dinner
Ran out of beverages; probably needed to have
backup waters and punch supplied by the parent committee
In the future may want to think of the family
campout at another time
Jerry has a portable PA system that we can use
in the future
Costs were pretty much covered; troop picked up
some, but not like the prior year
NTR
Rayna to get phone tree going for popcorn sales
and make sure scouts and adults sign up for boothing.
Jerry to get adventure passes
Need to remember to make the March camping event
a family campout at the beach
Rayna to take the Swim check off the calendar for
PHILMONT
Parent Committee should think about offering
help at Sage Ranch (maybe painting the benches that didn’t get finished during
the last Eagle project due to changes) as appreciation for letting us have the
Court of Honor there
