*     Subcommittee met last week to reorganize.  Judy agreed to do the checkbook that works well in conjunction with her Quickbooks entry.

*     Lisa was asked if she would like to manage the Council account numbers and just inform the committee when the balance falls below a predetermined level.

*     Judy to talk to a CPA to set up a review of our accounting system

*     Talked about including items from fundraiser as items in Quickbooks.

*     Spreadsheets have been created and used for the various fundraisers.  Popcorn is the hardest one.  Kathy and Peggy will review and update these to be easy to look at.

*     We would like to have one volunteer for each fundraiser to just work with the spreadsheet and financial aspects of the fundraiser.

*     Pancake breakfast.  We agreed to purchase a huge 4-burner griddle for Prince of Peace.  It will also be used for future pancake breakfast fundraiser.  Marti has already acquired most of the required items.  She needs assistance with picking up last minute items at the market for this event.

Advancement Subcommittee Report: (Lisa Solomon)

*     Lisa brought quality unit patches and Owl patches

*     There were 6 boards of review since the last court of honor.

*     Advancement boards are nice for visual motivation.  What are we going to do with these?

*     Lisa needs some help.  Very few Advancement Subcommittee Jobs have been filled.

Troop Advisors (All Positions Open)

*     Training

*     Adult awards

*     Chaplain

Other Business

*     Peggy will update roster with new boy information.  Won’t distribute until things settle down.

*     How often should Boards of Review occur?  We need them more frequently than quarterly (as suggested in the BSA documentation) because of the number of the boys in the troop.

*     Checkbook availability.  People should not expect to be reimbursed immediately at Troop meetings.  If the checkbook is at a meeting great, otherwise the receipt will be collected and payment will be made later.

*     File box for blank forms, handouts and mailings.  We decided to go ahead with this.

*     Tim Shannon will order T-shirts.
