How does the outdoor subcommittee get the info about the outings? This should be done by direct communication between the Outdoor chair and the Scoutmaster.
We are currently in the process of organizing the new boy packets.
We need medical forms for the new boy packet. The medical forms coordinator job is currently available!
Recruiting is continuing but there are many open positions.
Suggested to have a new parent meeting at a Troop meeting in May to discuss roles in the troop and other new parent things.
Binders are coming along for each job slowly.
Our money at the Scout shop is almost gone. It might be nice to deposit money into the troop account so that advancement has account
A question was raised to how the Cub Scout year pins are done. The Cub years are kept separately with a gold backing. We will supply our Scouts with year pins for their years in Boy Scouts. These will be updated annually at the Court of Honor following the recharter.
Some of the kids have recently earned their Totin’ Chip or Firem’n Chit patches. Older boys have asked if they can get a patch too. Lisa will purchase some patches and if the boys present their cards they can get a patch.
Do the new leaders get presented emblems for their new leadership positions? Yes. They need to be purchase.
What is the process for the boys to take on a leadership position within the troop? The boy must go through the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and the Scoutmaster to take on a Troop leadership position such as Bugler, Historian, Scribe, Quartermaster etc.
Friends of Scouting. Include information on this at the next court of honor. Patrick’s letter was nice.
Condolence cards were signed by the adults and Scouts and sent to the Pardee’s.
Scouting for Food was a success.
Suggestion to distribute some mailings at troop meeting to parents only, and then to mail the remainder.
